Welcome in Maremma

In our agritourism, we prioritize treating guests with great hospitality. For this reason we think that our farm is the right place for:

All those with walking and physical difficulties, people in wheelchair or with a need for walkers: As we renovated the farm, we thought about you, we tried to see things with your eyes and concentrated to minimize the difficulties of moving around the agritourism. This focus truly sets Al Podere dei Nonni apart as few agritourisms in Italy are accessible.

• We built wide walkways, which for over 100 meters connect the parking with the reception and a multipurpose room, to the bedrooms, the swimming pool, and the professional kitchen.
• We have easy access to the bio-swimming pool, with a steel handle and a soft and wide “beach-style” entrance to make getting into and out of the water easier.
• We have a bedroom with a private bathroom and a beautiful view of the valley, perfect for wheelchair users.
• We also have a changing room with a bathroom for people with disabilities and a large multipurpose room that also includes a bathroom for people with disabilities.

For all those who believe in eco-sustainability and who want to help us improve our planet, reduce the waste of water and electricity, differentiate waste, and love our land and our animals.

Our actions to be eco-sustainable include using solar panels for hot water, building a photovoltaic system, not using pesticides nor chemical fertilizers and instead using manure and compost produced on the farm, planting ancient fruit trees resistant to diseases and adapted to the environment, and following permaculture methods for a diversified and balanced environment. We also try to make our animals happy!

Friends who want to share a holiday in the heart of Tuscany can use the farm as a starting point for excursions to the sea or to the mountains, taking advantage of our three double bedrooms (LO SCALANDRINO, LA MERIA, LA MARRUCA) with independent entrances and bathrooms, but, if you wish, all of the rooms can become communicating rooms that share a common kitchen with a comfortable and spacious double sofa bed… eight people can stay in the same structure in front of the swimming pool! And if there is someone else you want to add to the group, let us know and we will find a way to accomidate everyone!

For couples or singles looking for relax, all bedrooms have a private bathroom and independent access. There is also the possibility to stay in an apartment that consists of a bedroom with a kitchen, a sofa bed, and a large terrace overlooking the swimming pool, fields, and forest. We also have a small apartment (IL MANDRIOLO), with a kitchen, a king sofa bed, fireplace, and bathroom. All facilities have a terrace where you can read and relax.

Older people who want to teach us something about the countryside and any other topic, combining their desire to spend a holiday in the countryside in Maremma and our thirst to learn everything that can help us improve.

Children, in small groups, can enjoy daily or mutli-day activities that promote contact with nature. We also offer activities in English (Peter is American and he loves talking in English or Italian!).
