Coming from different countries and educational backgrounds, it is challenging to see how every day we set new goals and projects for our farm in Maremma. Peter and I both want the farm to be a place where anyone, regardless of age, nationality and skills, can find his or her place of relaxation, discovery, and happiness.

For this reason, we seek, through the stories of grandmother Benigna and the secrets shared by the farmers of the Scansanese community, but also by reading books recommended by experts in the sector (agronomists, beekeepers, zootechnics, creators of playgrounds) to offer experiences where we can all learn together and, above all, cheerfully. Also because, as curious as we are, what we like most is learning together.

For example, you can discover, scattered around the farm, small experiments to be enjoyed independently or in the presence of an adult. Or you can get to know and collect the native and non-native aromatic plants and wild herbs of curious shapes and bright colors such as silver sage, chard, and wild borage.

“Al Podere dei Nonni” is not only a beautiful Agritourism in Maremma, it is also an ancient Podere, farm, educational farm, and social farm. It is the place where our dreams are coming to life.
