BIO-EXPERIENCIAL WORKSHOPS

Together, we learn to take care of the animals, starting from the administration of food, cleaning the chicken coop, checking birth control, collection and management of eggs, which we also use in the kitchen workshop.

We will get to know the bees by using a transparent didactic hive as well as through the use of videos and images projected in our multifunctional room. Children will put honey into small jars with labels created by them, and are allowed to take the jars home with them.

Children will experience the preparation of the soil, working in a small greenhouse, the collection of seasonal vegetables and fruit, and their transformation to food in the kitchen workshop. Each day, the experience will be structured to enhance the skills of the small participants.

Partecipants will learn how to recognize the herbs, smell them, collect them, and then use them in the kitchen. The plants can also be transplanted into pots with the option of bringing them home or to prepare them in salt and oil to take home.

From the eggs, oil, tomatoes, fruit, honey, herbs and flower petals collected from the farm (in the proper seasons) it will be possible to create something together in the kitchen. This experience, in addition to being pleasant, offers the opportunity to facilitate autonomy and self-esteem, all while having fun!

We both love watching the stars and Peter is even an astrophysicist! For this reason, our farm could not miss the opportunity to observe the sky, the stars and the planets.
